We care about you. That's why it is important to us that your xD offer safety features, inside and outside, that help protect you and your passengers.

The passive airbag-driven supplemental restraint system utilizes sensors in the front airbag system to detect a frontal collision. In addition, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), front seat belt pre-tensioners, and the 3-point anchor seat belts on all five seats come standard to assist with the security of you and your passengers.

The exterior panels of the xD make up the rigid body shell that doubles as an impact absorbing structure. The passenger compartment is designed with reinforced cross and side members that are laid out horizontally, which helps distribute crash impact forces to the vehicle's upper body and throughout the entire body structure.

Side curtain airbags [1] for the front and rear seats are also available to help protect your upper torso and head in an
impact.

Warranty

FOR THE LONG RUN.
There's nothing like a warranty for total peace of mind. Scion will back you up with these Limited Coverages:

BASIC COVERAGE
All components other than normal wear and maintenance items are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles.

POWERTRAIN COVERAGE
Your engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and air bags are covered for 5 years/60,000 miles. Rust-Through Coverage: Corrosion perforation of sheet metal is covered for 60 months/unlimited miles.

FEDERAL EMISSION COVERAGE
Components under the federal emission defect warranty are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles and specified major emission control components are covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. Specified major emission control components under emission performance warranty are also covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. In addition, emission performance warranty is applicable for 24 months/24,000 miles in states and local jurisdictions that require a periodic EPA-approved inspection and maintenance program.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE
You may be eligible for transportation assistance if your vehicle is required to be kept overnight for warrantable repairs. Please see your authorized Scion dealership for further details.

Accessories installed at the time of the new vehicle purchase are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles, from the vehicle's in-service date, whichever occurs first, under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Accessories installed by the dealer after the new vehicle purchase are covered for 12 months, regardless of mileage, from the accessory installation date, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage. Accessories purchased over-the-counter are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase. Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the purchase date and are not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
